Over the North Pole

STARK, COLD, BEAUTIFUL DESOLATION

During the flight back to the States, we crossed the North Pole at night, and the view was charming. The moon was the only glimmer of light in the vast dark blue. Ice and snow on the ground like veins, vast stretch endlessly, reflecting the deep sky, forming a unique single color canvas. Smooth, cold and lonely.

It was like flying over another planet: surreal desert iced landscape. A severe fight between earth and sky.

I wish I can travel some day in such an impressive and magical place.
